Theme My Login 6.2.1

The first (and hopefully last) bugfix release of Theme My Login’s 6.2 branch has been released today. It fixes a few issues that were overlooked before it’s initial release, including WordPress 3.4’s addition of post password protection being enforced by wp-login.php. Also, the addition of the “Block Admin Access” option to the Themed Profiles module also blocked admin-ajax.php, which is also used for many front-end AJAX applications. Both of these issues are resolved, as well as a few other minor issues.

Theme My Login 6.2

It’s finally here! Theme My Login 6.2 adds a few new features as well as some very important bugfixes. The most notable new features are as follows:

  • Custom Permalinks – You can now set a custom permalink for core actions that will be used instead of adding a query argument. So, for example, instead of yoursite.com/login?action=register you can have yoursite.com/register.
  • Private Site – The Security module now includes an options to require login to view your site.
  • Profile Templates – Profile templates can now be created per user role. The naming convention used for profile templates is profile-form-{role}.php. So, for instance, the template for a subscriber would be profile-form-subscriber.php. Of course, any role which doesn’t have it’s own template will fall back to the default profile-form.php.
